Your Year in Battery Power

How a 5kW solar system fills a 13.5kWh battery each month

💡

96% of battery charging from solar

In winter months, grid charging tops up your battery. With the right energy plan, you can charge during off-peak periods at very low rates - or even free.

Perth Battery FAQs

Does the federal rebate apply in WA?

Yes, WA residents get BOTH the federal rebate (~$372/kWh) AND the new WA Residential Battery Scheme ($130/kWh Synergy, $380/kWh Horizon Power). Combined rebates of ~$5,020-$7,520 for a 10kWh battery. WA operates on the SWIS grid (not NEM).

What is solar soaking in Perth?

Solar soaking occurs when high rooftop solar generation pushes wholesale prices negative during midday. A battery lets you store this valuable solar instead of exporting for near-zero value.
